SUBIC BAY FREEPORT– Zambales Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane led the meeting with local leaders and representatives of various government agencies to discuss the preparations and quick response to possible disasters in the province.

The said meeting and planning which started today Monday, October 13, at the Travelers Hotel in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, is expected to be part of the Zambales Program and Operations Plan 2026-2028.

The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen coordination between local and national agencies, and also to ensure the preparedness of each municipality in the event of a disaster.

Among the things discussed here that should be prepared are those regarding hurricanes as well as earthquakes including the so-called “The Big One”.

In Ebdane’s message to the delegates, he said that the “Three-Tiered Defense System” can be used as a strategic approach in dealing with possible disasters in the province.

“Early, effective planning and training is good for everyone who will face a disaster,” said Ebdane.

Such activity will last for three days until October 15 where it is expected that the result will be submitted as the entire plan of the province in dealing with the disaster.
