BALANGA CITY – With innovation becoming more important in government services, delegates from the provincial government of Bataan headed by Gov. Abet Garcia attended the VFS Global iConnect 2017 in Singapore today.
Garcia is joined by Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia, Regional Directors of different national agencies from Central Luzon and officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Garcia, in his Facebook post today, said the event offers a unique opportunity to learn key trends and new-age solutions for the new Bataan Provincial Capitol called: “The Bunker: Bataan Govern
ment Center and Business Hub.”
VFS Global is an outsourcing and technology services specialist for governments and diplomatic missions worldwide.
The provincial government of Bataan is set to operate next year the country’s first one-stop shop connecting all local government units and national agencies all in one location.
“This will be the Philippines’ 1st one stop shop that will connect all agencies from national to local to facilitate business permits and all other important documents needed by our investors and businessmen,” Garcia recently said.
The province’s modernization on business permit processing etc. will be located at the Bataan Government Center and Business Hub being constructed at the Bataan Capitol as part of the rehabilitation of the iconic building.
The compound will also house business process outsourcing centers, restaurants hotels and other business establishments.– MHIKE R. CIGARAL
