PAMPANGA, Philippines – Governor Lilia Pineda visited the Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao town on Sunday, July 27, to check on the condition of 33 dengue patients currently admitted.
Of the 33 patients, 16 are adults—including pregnant women—while 17 are children, one of whom is a 2-month-old baby.

During her hospital visit, the governor personally extended financial assistance to all the patients, many of whom come from low-income families.

Health officials in Pampanga noted a 50% increase in dengue cases this year compared to the same period in 2024, prompting heightened monitoring and response efforts across the province.

Pineda emphasized the importance of early treatment and community vigilance, urging barangays to intensify cleanup drives to destroy mosquito breeding sites.
