Last November 30, wine and food lovers in Pampanga gathered at this newest restaurant in Clark for a relaxing dinner featuring a five-course meal paired with carefully selected wines from the 500-wine list of Greenhouse Café Restaurant and Gardens.
This event marked the beginning of the final leg of Greenhouse Café’s journey to full opening which is slated on the first quarter of 2025.
Prior to its grand opening, this restaurant has been accommodating small group reservations in addition to intimate events like this wine dinner. High tea, a favorite British tradition is also being done here.
Greenhouse Café Restaurant and Gardens describes itself as Modern Casual Dining which is quite apt for the general look and feel of the restaurant since it is situated in a garden complete with a meandering stream and a koi pond.
The quality of food and wine is uncompromisingly fine-dining in class. The menu is predominantly French-European. Not branding itself French gives them the flexibility to draw from a vast pool of delectable recipes from other regions. The word ‘casual’ does describe the prices which are not exorbitant as one might think for this level of dining experience.
Guests of the Greenhouse Café will soon notice that this is not just about wine-and-dine experience. A brief stroll in the gardens quickly reveals its emphasis on sustainability. Lines of panels in the solar garden at the back indicate that the Greenhouse Café is powered by renewable energy. In fact, guests arriving in their Electric Vehicles are pleasantly surprised to find EV charging stations at the driveway. Just a bit further along the stream we will discover two gazebos, fully air-conditioned, accommodating four to six persons, a dining experience described by the restaurant as “meeting nature halfway”. The restaurant’s focus on reducing food waste is made apparent by the multiple portion sizes in many items on the menu. 30% of food waste comes from unfinished food left on the plates. The multiple portion options empower the customers to directly contribute to food waste reduction without compromising the dining experience.
Anyone who wishes to try out this modern restaurant in Clark can reserve a table for lunch or dinner in advance.
