MABALACAT CITY – Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Wilma T. Eisma said the Subic International Airport will become a “regional MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facility of Gulfstream.”
Gulfstream is one of the world’s top aircraft manufacturers which focuses mainly on the production of private jets. Gulfstream have grown their reputation for excellence, innovation and commitment to customer service.
Eisma said Gulfstream will develop its regional MRO facility at Subic Freeport. She said Philippine Airlines (PAL) was also looking at putting their MRO facility in the area.
Eisma said the development of Subic airport will not compete with Clark International Airport. She expected the influx of more tourists in the area once the request for a visa-free entry in Subic is approved.
She said PAL will locate its flying school in Subic. — APSP
