Pampanga Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda assured the Kapampangans he will not put the province on lockdown.
He bared this amidst the fake news spreading on Facebook thru a chain message that he will issue a lockdown in Pampanga.
Although there are three confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Central Luzon, the Governor said Pampanga is ready and equipped to face the situation.
The Governor furthered he will not suspend classes in the province, but appealed to the parents to keep their children at home after class.
Moreover, according to him, the Provincial Government of Pampanga, through its Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, led by Angie Blanco, will intensify precautionary measures against COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the Governor is also reminding the public to stay calm and not hoard products, and practice proper hygiene to reduce the risk of acquiring the disease.
He then asked the help of Provincial Police Office to track down who is spreading the fake information regarding the province’s lockdown.
