ANGELES CITY, Philippines – The city’s streets are glowing red as heart-shaped lanterns line major roads, bringing an early Valentine’s Day vibe to both residents and visitors. The initiative, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., aims to brighten up public spaces while making daily commutes more enjoyable.

Beyond aesthetics, the project highlights local craftsmanship. The lanterns were designed under the guidance of Chief Adviser Irish “IC” Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, with skilled artisans from Angeles City bringing them to life. This effort not only showcases homegrown talent but also supports the local creative industry.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, the heart-shaped lanterns serve as a reminder of Angeles City’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and artistic urban environment.
