Hermosa LGU officials, coops get PCEDO awards 

The Municipality of Hermosa’s local government officials and outstanding cooperatives were recently honored by the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) for their exceptional contributions to community development and enterprise promotion.

The municipality of Hermosa garnered significant recognition, marking a milestone in its pursuit of excellence. Among the esteemed recipients were Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton, Vice Mayor Patrick Rellosa, Councilor Jason Enriquez, and members of the commendable Galing Bataan team. These dedicated individuals and organizations were acknowledged for their remarkable efforts in enhancing the local cooperative landscape.

Hermosa town proudly clinched the title of 1st Runner Up-Most Improved Cooperative Development Council (CDC), a testament to the municipality’s dedication to continuous progress and innovation. The award is a testament to the town’s commitment to fostering economic growth and empowering local businesses.

Several other cooperatives also basked in the glory of their achievements. 

The Hermosa Municipal Cooperative Development Council (MCDC), Balsik Highschool Teachers Multipurpose Cooperative, and WAHOR Multipurpose Cooperative were among the recipients of the prestigious accolades. These cooperatives have consistently demonstrated excellence, resilience, and a strong commitment to uplifting their communities.

Furthermore, the event highlighted the exceptional contributions of individuals who have been instrumental in promoting best practices within the cooperative sector. Municipal Cooperative Development Coordinator Josefina A. Bondoc was recognized as the Best Practices Advocate, lauding her dedication and unwavering commitment to advancing cooperative initiatives in the region.

The awards served as a moment of pride for Hermosa, showcasing the municipality’s resilience and determination in the face of challenges.
