In a bid to deter or minimize crime, gubernatorial bet Jose Maria “Jomar” Hizon has vowed to put up a CCTV system all over Pampanga province.
Hizon, who is running as an independent candidate, said the CCTV system with a central command center at the Provincial Capitol, will help government authorities in crime prevention. “The authorities will be able to monitor the major business districts and major roadways all over the province. In that way, government authorities will be able to deter or resolve crime in real time,” according to Hizon.
Aside from the CCTV system, Hizon said a “Text Brigade with centralized number to report crime” will be put in place. “The Text Brigade will allow the citizen to report crime immediately to the central command center, said Hizon.
The CCTV system is similar to the one being used at major expressways in Luzon where a central command can view the flow of traffic in the freeway and toll plazas.
“The CCTV system and the Text Brigade will help us in maintaining peace and order all over Pampanga province. We have to make use of the technology in our midst, this will help us a lot in the creation of a peaceful province,” said Hizon. (APSP)
