LUBAO, PAMPANGA – Giant and colorful hot air balloons once again painted the skies on Friday morning, April 11, as the much-anticipated Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival kicked off its three-day run.
More than 20 balloons — ranging from classic teardrop shapes to creative special shapes and even mini remote-controlled models — soared above the open fields of Lubao, drawing cheers from early-morning spectators.

The annual festival, which blends aviation spectacle with music and food festivities, continues to be one of the largest summer events in Central Luzon. Enthusiasts and families gathered as early as dawn to witness the launch, a beloved highlight of the celebration.
The event will run until Sunday, April 13, with nightly concerts, food bazaars, and other family-friendly attractions complementing the morning balloon flights.
