
City San Fernando, Pampanga – In celebration of International Women’s Month, the Provincial Government of Pampanga, led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, provided extensive assistance to hundreds of pregnant women from the City of San Fernando.
The initiative aimed to support expectant mothers in maintaining their health and well-being during pregnancy, particularly during the critical first 1,000 days of their baby’s life.

With the support of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Department of Health (DOH), doctors, nurses, and barangay volunteers, the program offered free laboratory tests to monitor the health of pregnant women. In addition, participants received nutritious food supplies, including milk powder drinks (Anmum), mushroom soup, and pasta, to help ensure proper maternal nutrition.

Essential provisions such as ferrous sulfate, rice, cash assistance, hygiene kits,and other necessities were also distributed to further support their needs.
As part of the initiative, educational sessions were conducted to equip mothers with vital information on prenatal care, proper nutrition, breastfeeding, pregnancy complications, mental health, and family planning.
These discussions aimed to empower women with the knowledge and resources necessary for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth.

Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and former Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab emphasized the provincial government’s unwavering commitment to maternal healthcare. They assured continued support for pregnant women, reinforcing Pampanga’s dedication to improving women’s health and overall well-being.
This initiative underscores the Provincial Government of Pampanga’s ongoing efforts to celebrate and uplift women, particularly expectant mothers, by ensuring they receive the care, support, and assistance they deserve.
