ANGELES CITY – A known club here was ordered closed due to unauthorized liquor sale to minors and lack of business permit.
Reports have been circulating that Hydro Pool Club is violating PD 1916 and Ordinance 396, s-2016, both known as Penalizing the use or possession or the Unauthorized Sale to Minors of Volatile Substances for the purpose of inducing Intoxication or in any manner changing, distorting or disturbing the auditory, visual or mental process and Child Welfare Code of Angeles City, was confirmed upon the inter-saturation inspection of Angeles City Government.
This was also supported through photos posted by some minors on Facebook. The said club located in Barangay Balibago recently also violated PD 856 or the Sanitation Code and such ordinances – Ordinance no. 431, s-2017, chapter 3, also known as Solid Waste Management Program, Ordinance no. 52, s-1999, and Ordinance no. 326.
On the other hand, according to the report of Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD), the club already paid the designated amount for the business tax but the affidavit of undertaking to prohibit minors in the club has not yet been issued.
