Infra projects in AC seen to ease traffic

ANGELES CITY – Among the development plans of Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. are the ongoing road widening projects and construction of the Pulung Cacutud bridge here, amounting to P23 million.

This is to decongest traffic along the eastern section of the city, particularly along the Angeles-Magalang Road.

The said construction would run for three months, according to Gercel Construction and Development Group, Inc. and Haidee Construction and Development Corp.

This will also connect Barangays Pulung Maragul and Pulung Cacutud.

From the existing two lanes, the road will become four lanes with the removal of the other obstructions near the bridge.

One of the main priorities of Mayor Lazatin is to ease the traffic in Barangays Cutud, Sapalibutad, Pulung Cacutud, Pulung Maragul and Pandan.

It can be recalled that last August, Mayor Lazatin led the groundbreaking and laying of time capsule ceremony at the EPZA Diversion Road project, which will also aid the influx of vehicles going to Angeles City proper.

Meanwhile, these two projects will help to lessen the traffic time of the commuters, as well as prevent single motorcycles and tricycles from counterflowing.
