TARLAC CITY — President Rodrigo R. Duterte declared January 18, Friday, a special non-working day in Tarlac City in line with the celebration of the 3rd Kaisa Festival.
Duterte issued Proclamation No. 650 to give residents the fully opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
In a statement, the City Information Office said the weeklong celebration kicked-off with Neon Night Bike Ride at F. Tanedo Street last January 13 followed by a Thanksgiving Mass at the Tarlac City Hall last January 14, and Mega Jobs Fair at Magic Star Mall last January 15.
Other activities include Trade Fair at Tarlac City Plazuela from January 15-17, Pana-Pana Street Dance on January 17, Grand Float Parade and Kaisa Music Festival on January 18, Grand Homecoming Night on January 19, and Miss Tarlac City 2019 Grand Coronation Night on January 20.
Kaisa Festival celebrates the history, culture and diversity of the city and commemorates the martyrdom of its patron saint, Saint Sebastian.
