Angeles City Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, in partnership with Giada’s Meat Products, held its annual livelihood program today, August 22, 2024, at the Gabaldon Building in Pulungbulu. The initiative, known as “Kabuhayan Power,” aims to empower local residents by providing them with essential resources to start small-scale food businesses. During the event, meat product packages from Giada’s were distributed to 300 sectoral beneficiaries. This laudable project is fully supported by Cong Mayor Carmelo Pogi Lazatin Jr, Congressman Mayor Carmelo Jon Lazatin II and Gender And Development Officer Mina Cabiles.
Giada’s President & CEO Chie Lozano expressed her commitment to supporting the Angeles City community, emphasizing that the collaboration with the city government aligns with the company’s mission to promote sustainable livelihoods. “This partnership is about more than just providing food; it’s about empowering individuals to create better futures for themselves and their families right here in Angeles City,” Lozano stated.
Newly installed City Councilor Doc Mich M Bonifacio acknowledged the significant impact of Vice Mayor Vega-Cabigting Kabuhayan Program and its partnership with Giada’s, noting that it creates job opportunities and stimulates economic activity within the city. She commended Giadas Meat Products for their commitment to social responsibility and for playing a pivotal role in empowering individuals through meaningful employment and entrepreneurial training.
Focused exclusively on various NGOs, sectoral groups and residents of Angeles City, the program aims to stimulate local economic growth and reduce unemployment by equipping participants with the tools they need to generate income. Vice Mayor Vega-Cabigting underscored the significance of such initiatives in fostering self-reliance and strengthening the local economy. “By supporting small-scale entrepreneurs within our city, we are not only helping families today but also laying the groundwork for a more resilient and prosperous Angeles City tomorrow,” she remarked. The initiative is expected to serve as a cornerstone for future community-driven programs within the city.
The next event will involve distributing beauty care and hygiene products throughout the city’s 33 barangays.
