ANGELES CITY — The city government’s Kadiwa ni Kita at Ani continues to gain momentum, recording a total sales of ₱100,925 this April.
With 10 stalls set up at the City Hall, this marks a significant increase from its initial earnings of ₱36,000 when it was first launched in April 2024, following last month’s ₱117,000 in total sales.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. expressed his gratitude to Angeleños for supporting the program, which brings affordable basic goods closer to communities.
“Patunay lamang po ito na malaki ang naitutulong ng Kadiwa sa ating mga kababayan,” Mayor Lazatin said. “Patuloy po natin itong susuportahan at palalawakin.”
To further encourage residents, the city government gives away free lettuce—grown through hydroponics by the City Agriculture Office—for every minimum purchase of ₱100 at the Kadiwa stalls.
The city’s monthly Kadiwa program is being supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, in coordination with the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) headed by Irish Bonus-Llego.
The Kadiwa was launched by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. through the Department of Agriculture to ensure the availability and affordability of food in areas with high demand and in communities with low-income families.
