The Fraternal Order of Eagles Inc. Central Luzon Region 3 – United Twelve Jewels (UTJ) Eagles Club collaborated with Balibago Punong Barangay Joseph PG Ponce and council to implement ‘Anti-School Bullying Campaign’.
The official turnover of a state-of-the-art CCTV system took place at Rafael Lazatin Memorial High School (RLMHS) on Wednesday, July 30.
Present at the event were Kap. Ponce, Roxanne Tapia, UTJ President Dr. Brian Tan, Kagawads Jennifer Bonifacio, Grace Urbano David, Louie Socwey Manalastas, Ednel Batac, Joel Ocop, and Arnold Ibay; RLMHS Principal Atty. Larry Jun Lobo, faculty members, PTA representatives, and student leaders.
The high-tech installation, which includes eight cameras upgradeable to sixteen, has been operational since May 2024, with a command center located in the principal’s office. The system serves 2,200 students and 71 faculty members, enhancing both safety and security.
“From my first visit upon assuming office, I prioritized addressing issues such as water supply and installing a CCTV system not only to combat bullying but to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and the school premises. The principal can access footage via a phone app, making monitoring efficient. This project is a priority of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Inc. Central Luzon Region 3, United Twelve Jewels Eagles Club, with the barangay council playing a supporting role as myself a member of this prestigious organization,” Ponce emphasized.
“We are here for the students, our future leaders. The CCTV system project aims to protect them and prevent bullying. Our mission is to help the community through public service, and we are grateful for the successful implementation of this project,” Dr. Tan added.
This initiative underscores the commitment of local leaders and community organizations to prioritize the well-being and safety of students. By leveraging technology, they are fostering a secure environment conducive to learning and personal development, setting a precedent for other schools in Central Luzon.
