A Korean national on Thursday was arrested while another one escaped in an entrapment for robbery-extortion on their compatriot in Pampanga.
Angeles City police director Col. Amado Mendoza Jr. identified the victim as Korean national Shin Du Ho, 39, of PYJ Building, Clarkhills, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga and the suspects as Kwon Jun Young, 38, of Dona Adela, Sta. Cruz, Porac, Pampanga and a certain Jogmin Seok, both Korean nationals.
The victim told police that on Wednesday, he lost his cellphone and could not find it. The next day, a male Korean national called the victim using the lost cellphone and demanded P200,000 in exchange for the return of his cellphone.
The victim. sought police assistance and an entrapment operation was conducted resulting in the arrest of the suspect while his cohort escaped arrest.The police are now tracking down the other suspect.
