The AngeleNews Public Group Facebook Poll said the latest release will be part of its regular monthly poll until next year’s Synchronized National and Local Elections on May 9, 2022. The poll was participated by 10,240 Angelenos, registered voters and residents, and those aged 18 and above.

The FB Poll includes: Real-time voting, public setting, legitimate/verified FB account holders, insight data (23,878 people reached; 896 post engagements; 257 comments, 300 reactions, 278 shares, and 37 other clicks). Facebook is the largest of all the social media platforms, with a membership of around 2.6 billion monthly users worldwide.

That is an astonishingly large number of people and that figure represents an incredibly large potential audience for politicians. Even attracting just a tiny fraction of Facebook users to be your own audience can still equate to hundreds of thousands of voters which candidates haven’t met, doesn’t know personally, or not even the candidates’ FB followers. Politicians using advertising on Facebook obviously means more popularity, visibility, and influence for the platform, so they have created a host of features that help to make political campaigns more successful.
