CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A 31-year-old bank executive narrowly escaped death when an unidentified gunman shot at her car, apparently over a road rage at Barangay Lias, Marilao, Bulacan, section of the North Luzon Expressway early morning Thursday.
The victim, according to sketchy police reports, was identified as Kim Lusung Lapid, a bank analyst and resident of Arbe Compound, Bgy. Sumapang Tumanda, Malolos City.
Police said the victim was on board a red Mitsubishi Mirage (CAH-3964) when a white Ford Expedition (NBS-3331) overtook and shot the victim once but missed, hitting instead the door’s lower portion.
The incident happened in front of a Petron Gasoline station past 7 am, stated in the police report.
Kim said the occupant of the SUV is the same person whom she figured in a traffic altercation moments before she was shot in the broad daylight attack.
Marilao police coordinated with the Land Transportation Office to determine the owner of the SUV, which was later found out to be registered under Arlyn A. Revilloof, 23 Rhine Street, Eastside, Bgy. Maybunga, Pasig City.
Investigators, police said, launched follow-up operations and motored to Pasig City to arrest the occupant of the vehicle reportedly responsible behind the attack of the victim.
