Landbank ensures social distancing in cash grants distribution

GUAGUA, Pampanga – The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) today assured the public that it is implementing additional measures to strictly enforce social distancing in its Guagua Branch after residents flocked to the branch early Wednesday morning (June 17) to claim their cash grants.

In a statement, LANDBANK said while it is already strictly observing social distancing in all of its branches nationwide, the rush of students claiming cash grants, as well as senior citizens receiving social pension from the local government unit (LGUs) resulted to long queues in front of the branch as early as 6:00AM.

The Guagua Branch said it has already sought the assistance of the local Philippine National Police (PNP) for assistance in crowd management, and to help safeguard the welfare of its clients against the CoVid-19 pandemic.

Likewise, the branch added an additional teller from its San Fernando Branch to fast-track the over-the-counter transactions. It also sought permission from the building owner where the branch is located, for the use of a vacant area beside the building as waiting area, where tents were set-up for its clients.
