Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) is encouraging clients to utilize online banking to limit in-person transactions amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
LBP Central Luzon Branches Group Assistant Vice President and City of San Fernando Branch Head Rogelio Samia urged individuals to enroll to the LANDBANK iAccess, which is an alternative banking channel designed for customers for a convenient, reliable, and secure delivery of banking services via the Internet.
Clients may register online at https://www.lbpiaccess.com which is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
“Those who will register in the iAccess should also download the LANDBANK mobile application. The services this could give to clients include withdrawal, fund transfer, shopping, and bills payment without going physically to the bank,” he said.
Users may also access non-financial services on the application such as managing and protecting accounts; inquiring the status of check/s issued from enrolled current account; and calculating housing loan affordability based on term, desired monthly amortization, or monthly income.
Meanwhile, Samia shared they are accepting walk-in transactions via number system, where clients could line up at their office to get their numbers starting 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM.
“In our bank operations, we have cash at the tellers, we have new accounts, loans, and miscellaneous such as the senior citizens and persons with disabilities. They have different numbers and different lanes,” he explained.
LBP is accommodating 30 clients at a time inside the office to limit the number of people, and observe physical distancing.
Customers who want to know which banks are open may visit the LBP website www.landbank.com or its Facebook page at @landbankofficial.
Samia ensured that Covid-19 vaccination cards are not needed given that the financial needs of people should be catered, whether they are vaccinated or not. (MJSC/JLDC-PIA 3)
