Lazatin administration invests P4.8B in Angeles infra

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – Over the past six years, the administration of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has allocated a total of P4.8 billion for infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing public facilities and services. Investments include P1.3 billion in 2019, P99 million in 2020, P864 million in 2021, P163 million in 2022, P1.1 billion in 2023, and P1.3 billion in 2024.

Key infrastructure developments under Lazatin’s leadership include the rehabilitation of the Pampang Public Market, the construction of the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center Annex Building (Phases 1 and 2), a material recovery facility, Kanlungan ng Kabataan, a wastewater treatment facility, and the Bale Pusu Home for Abandoned Elderly. Rural health units have also undergone rehabilitation and improvement to expand access to healthcare services.

Additional projects include the expansion and rehabilitation of the Angeles City Public Cemetery, enhancement of the city pound and animal shelter, upgrades to the City College of Angeles, and improvements in various public schools. Infrastructure efforts also focused on disaster preparedness with the enhancement of evacuation centers, slope protection along Abacan River, and drainage system upgrades. Various daycare centers have also been renovated to improve early childhood education facilities.

Lazatin’s administration has fulfilled key campaign promises from his 2022 re-election bid, particularly the modernization of health centers, the rehabilitation of the Pampang Public Market, and the establishment of Kanlungan ng Kabataan. As he now runs unopposed for Pampanga First District Representative, he vows to continue prioritizing public welfare through his legislative agenda.

His platform focuses on seven key areas: Health; Economy and Livelihood; Vulnerable and Marginalized Sectors, including children, women, senior citizens, PWDs, solo parents, and the LGBTQ community; Environment; Education; Transportation; and Barangay Development.

“Isa lang po ang sineseguro natin. Sa ating panunungkulan, wala pong maiiwan. No one will be left behind,” Lazatin said, emphasizing his commitment to inclusive governance and equitable public service.
