Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Angeles City National Trade School (ACNTS), Gueco Balibago Elementary School (GBES), and Cutud Elementary School (CES) for their outstanding performances in the Sinukwan Festival 2024.
The ACNTS emerged as the Overall Champion in the Secondary Level category, sweeping champion awards for Free Interpretation, Street Dance, Costume, and Headdress under the artistic direction and choreography of Jeremy Bognot.
“This is a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of our youth,” Lazatin said. “The students of ACNTS have not only brought honor to our city but also showcased the beauty of our Kapampangan culture on a grand stage.”
GBES also delivered a stellar performance, securing 2nd Place in Free Interpretation and Best in Costume and 3rd Place in Street Dance.
Meanwhile, CES stood out in the Level 1 category, winning Best in Headdress and Street Dance and 3rd Place in Free Interpretation Dance Competition.
“These victories reflect the hard work of our students, teachers, and their communities,” Lazatin added. “Their dedication inspires us to continue supporting programs that develop their talents and foster cultural pride.”
Part of the flagship programs of Mayor Lazatin ever since he took office is youth development, supporting programs and activities to uplift their skills and also providing an avenue in showcasing their talents such as the city’s very own grandest Kambal Festival streetdance competition.
