Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has instructed the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) to solve within 48 hours the robberies that occurred in the vicinity of the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) amid the holiday season.
Mayor Lazatin said reports have it that the robbers had been victimizing RLMMC employees particularly nurses. Small businesses were also victimized by robbers who had been taking advantage of the holiday season.
In a memorandum to ACPO Chief Col. Amado Mendoza Jr., Acting City Mayor Ma. Vicente Vega-Cabigting urged the ACPO to solve the robberies within 48 hours upon the instruction of Mayor Lazatin.
Acting City Mayor Vega-Cabigting said the city government will assure the safety of RLMMC employees particularly nurses who had been faithfully reporting for duty even during the holidays.
She encouraged the ACPO to increase police presence in the densely populated areas and business establishments to ensure public safety and security.
