Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has ordered the City Engineer’s Officer-in-Charge Helen Ayro to form roving teams to immediately clear roads from obstructions.
This is in line with the latest weather bulletin, from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), where Angeles City was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.
Lazatin wants to ensure everyone’s safety in the event of emergencies like strong winds toppling down certain obstructions.
Apart from this, the Angeles City Disaster Reduction and Management Office headed by Rodolfo Simeon is all set and ready 24/7.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang pagtatrabaho natin. Napakaimportante po na siguraduhin at unahin ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ng mga kababayan natin,” Lazatin assured.
