Lazatin to empower PWDs thru livelihood

ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. wants to strengthen programs for the livelihood and employment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

He is eyeing to ink a partnership with the private and business sectors to ensure that PWDs are provided jobs. The Mayor will also tap the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) to monitor their condition, especially that they are prone to discrimination.

In fact, on November 20, Mayor Lazatin distributed 20 wheelchairs to some members of PDAO, where he recognized their contribution to the community.

The Mayor also assured them that the Angeles City Government would always give a helping hand in times of need or not.
