PORAC, Philippines – Senator Lito Lapid is set to lead the inauguration of the new Porac municipal hall and police station on Wednesday , February 5, Joining him are Pampanga 2nd District Representative and former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Governor Dennis Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Porac Acting Mayor Myla Clarete, TIEZA COO Mark Lapid, and PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean Fajardo.
As part of the event, Lapid and the Pampanga provincial government will distribute service vehicles to local offices. Members of the Pampanga Mayors’ League and barangay officials of Porac are also expected to attend the ceremony.
In the evening, a dancing light and fountain display will be switched on in front of the new municipal hall in Barangay Cangatba. To accommodate the festivities, the road leading to the new municipal building will be temporarily closed to the public.
Lapid, a native of Porac, previously served as Pampanga vice governor and governor before becoming a senator. He is currently running for a second Senate term while portraying the character Primo in the primetime television series Batang Quiapo.
