PAMPANGA, Philippines – Senator Lito Lapid and Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda have joined forces once again for the upcoming 2025 elections, marking a political reunion after being seen together at the inauguration of the new Porac municipal hall on February 5.

Lapid, who is seeking reelection for his second consecutive Senate term, affirmed his full support for Pineda’s gubernatorial comeback. The vice governor previously faced Lapid’s son, former governor Mark Lapid, in the 2007 gubernatorial race, where both lost to former priest Among Ed Panlilio.

The senator was instrumental in securing the P420-million funding for the newly constructed Porac municipal hall. He also facilitated funding for key infrastructure projects, including the Angeles-Porac Cutcut flyover and the ongoing Pandan flyover construction.

During the event, Lapid distributed 20 ambulances to various municipalities in Pampanga, further strengthening his ties with local government units. His presence at the gathering highlighted his continued influence and commitment to the province.

Lapid, who also stars in the primetime TV series Batang Quiapo as Supremo, took the opportunity to campaign for his son, Maynard Lapid, who is running for councilor in Porac under the Tapang Lusung team.
