Senator Lito Lapid’s enduring appeal remains strong among ordinary Filipinos as he campaigns for his final Senate term, with his signature “Leon Guerrero” charm resonating on the ground.
Lapid held a solo motorcade in Capas and Concepcion, Tarlac, and in Mabalacat and Angeles City, Pampanga. Locals lined the streets, waving and cheering.
He was joined by TIEZA GM Mark Lapid and Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, who is running unopposed.
Lapid, who consistently ranks between 5th and 8th in recent surveys, emphasized his commitment to pro-poor legislation and grassroots issues.
“Hindi pa rin nawawala ang magic ni Leon Guerrero,” said Angelo Dizon of Madapdap Resettlement Center. “He’s still the people’s champion.”
