Kamira Montesa of Barangay Del Rosario was hailed as this year’s Little Miss Fernandina, earning the opportunity to represent the City of San Fernando in the upcoming Prinsesita ning Sinukwan 2018 pageant.
Montesa beat 12 other hopefuls during the coronation night held Saturday at SM City Pampanga.
Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago, together with City Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan and Pyestang Fernandino 2018 Executive Committee, join the winners of Little Miss Fernandina 2018. This year’s winners were Kamira Montesa of Barangay Del Rosario (Title holder), Nhaia Desiree Malulu of San Jose (1st Runner up), Kriztal Anne Manalastas of Pulung Bulu (2nd Runner up), Santi Nicole Apelado of San Agustin (3rd Runner up) and Alliza Miranda of San Nicolas (4th runner up).
Aside from the crown, the 9 year-old Montesa also received the Best in Casual Wear award.
The night’s other winners were Nhaia Desiree Malulu of San Jose (1st Runner up), Kriztal Anne Manalastas of Pulung Bulu (2nd Runner up), Santi Nicole Apelado of San Agustin (3rd Runner up) and Alliza Miranda of San Nicolas (4th runner up).
During the program, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago said the pageant is one of the most anticipated activities during the annual celebration of Pyestang Fernandino for it highlights the city’s child-friendly initiatives and showcases the skills of Fernandino children.
“Tunay na pinapahalagahan sa ating syudad ang mga kabataan kung kaya’t ang lahat ng ating mga programa, mula sa edukasyon, kalusugan hanggang sa paglago ng ekonomiya, ay para sa kanila,” he added.
Also present during the coronation night were City Budget Officer and Little Miss Fernandina 2018 Chairperson Eda Panganiban, Pyestang Fernandino 2018 Executive Committee Co-Chairperson Jun Pineda, Mutya at Lakan ning San Fernando 2018 Chairperson Alex Magsino and City Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan.
