ANGELES CITY — Angeles City Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Clark International Airport Corp. Vice President for Operations IC Calaguas have donated six units of copiers and some school supplies to six elementary and high schools here.
The local executives, who are also Beautederm Ambassadresses, used some of their talent fees to buy six units of copiers and school supplies for the benefit of students and teachers in six selected schools in the city.
The beneficiaries are Sto. Rosario Elementary School; Tacondo Elementary School; San Ignacio Elementary School; Dr. Clemente N. Dayrit High School; Malabanias Integrated School; and Amsic Integrated School.
Manuel is knocking on her constituents’ good hearts to help students, especially those from financially-challenged families, once the transition of learning modes starts on October 5.
“Naisip po namin ni VP IC na magkaroon ng donation drive para matulungan po natin yung mga teachers at students natin. Kahit po sa maliit lang na paraan, matulungan natin sila,” Manuel said.
Manuel furthered they will hand over some school supplies such as bond papers and pencils.
Moreover, according to Calaguas, the said initiative was also supported by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., who also vowed to assist all the students in the city — from Day Care to College.
“Let us work hand in hand to provide these students with some of the supplies they need for the school year,” Calaguas said.
“Let us share a glimpse of hope to these students, as well as to their families, that there is no poor in giving,” Calaguas stressed.
The personal donation of Calaguas and Manuel will complement the educational assistance of the city government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., who will distribute free printers to public school teachers, and 48,000 tablets to Grades 4-12 students in 53 public schools in the city.
