LUBAO BALLOON FESTIVAL 2026 FILLS SKY

LUBAO, Pampanga — Colorful hot air balloons filled the skies Saturday morning as the Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival 2026 officially opened, drawing crowds of visitors to the town.

A total of 21 regular and special-shaped hot air balloons took flight, featuring eye-catching designs such as Yakult Man, Egg, Love, Hug-A-Bear, Tako the Octopus, and the flying car Nissan Micra.

Among those who attended the opening were Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Tatay Bong Pineda, Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino, Arayat Mayor Jef Luriz, Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda, and Councilor Jayson Victorino.

All balloons were airborne before 7 am, while visitors also lined up for tethered balloon rides reaching up to 50 feet high, priced at P1,000.

The festival also features about 19 mini hot air balloons, over 100 food and bazaar stalls, inflatable playgrounds, and a mini zoo.

Crowds are also expected to gather later for the music fest featuring Flow G, Kamikazee, IV of Spades, and Bamboo.
