CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – The Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival wrapped up its grand return after a six-year break with an impressive crowd of 105,000 attendees—and no reported incidents throughout its three-day run from April 11 to 13.
Authorities credited the smooth and secure staging of the festival to the strategic planning and on-ground leadership of Pampanga Provincial Director PCOL Jay C. Dimaandal, who led the comprehensive security deployment. With personnel stationed across key points of the venue, the police presence helped ensure crowd safety and order despite record-breaking turnout, particularly on April 13 with 65,000 visitors. Dimaandal praised the collaboration of stakeholders and the discipline of attendees, calling it a “true reflection of community spirit and professionalism.”
