Mabalacat Tech-Voc School to get perimeter fence

CLARK FREEPORT– A 170-linear meter perimeter fence will be installed at the Mabalacat Technical Vocational School (MTVS).

The installation of the perimeter fence is part of the renewed CSR program of Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for local communities.

CDC President and CEO Noel F. Manankil and MTVS Officer-in-Charge Ariel M. Calma signed the MOA where the state-owned firm allotted some P652,000 budget for the perimeter fence project of the school.

MTVS is the only technical vocational school that caters to students from the Indigenous Peoples communities near this Freeport. These communities include Macapagal Village, Marcos Village, Kalapi, Sitio Haduan, Monicayo and San Martin. The school focuses on four major specializations such as electronics, information communication technology, garments and food trade.

During the signing, Manankil said the state-owned firm will have more tie-ups with MTVS in terms of corporate social responsibility projects as the state-owned firm explore ways to support the Aeta students and communities near MTVS.

“We are very happy na merong technical vocational school na nagcacater sa ating mga kapatid na Aeta. This is one sector that we have been trying to support. We would like to engage you more for our other programs and we would see more of you. Thank you for being with us today and we are very excited to partner with a neighbor,” Manankil said.

Meanwhile, CDC-External Affairs Department Assistant Vice President Rommel Narciso mentioned that their partnership with MTVS will also be another step for CDC to extend its gratitude to the school in fostering manpower, training and educating Indigenous Peoples and children in the periphery of Clark.

“Ating pong sinusuportahan ang Mabalacat Technical Vocational School dahil po marami sa kanilang mga estudyante ay ang ating mga kapatid na katutubo. At meron napong nagraduate na 2,520 Aetas po sa kanilang iskwelahan. Tinatangkilik natin yung mga courses dahil ito po ay tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng trabaho dito sa Clark,” Narciso added.

Accordingly, Calma thanked the state-owned firm for choosing their school to be their beneficiary for the said project. He mentioned that the installation of the perimeter fence will guarantee the security of the students of MTVS.
