MacArthur Highway closure set April 27 for Tour of Luzon

MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA – A portion of MacArthur Highway will be closed to traffic on Sunday, April 27, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, to make way for Stage 4 of the 2025 Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) Tour of Luzon cycling race.

The temporary road closure will cover the stretch from Barangay Tabun to Barangay Lakandula in Mabalacat City as riders pass through the Agoo–Clark route.

The Tour of Luzon, once a symbol of national pride in Philippine cycling, is making a comeback as part of the country’s bid to rejoin the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Calendar. The multi-stage race is expected to attract elite local and foreign cyclists and boost the sport’s visibility across the country.

Authorities advise motorists to plan ahead and use alternate routes during the brief closure.
