MACCII, EPA lead successful waste collection drive

The Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (MACCII), in collaboration with the Environmental Practitioners Association (EPA) and JDN Realty Group, successfully hosted the 29th Recyclables and Hazardous Waste Collection Event.

EPA President Mayflor Candelaria, JDN’s Ms. Trixi N. Valdes, MACCII Chairman Arni Valdes, and Engr. Geri Geronimo Sañez of EMB Region 3 played key roles in championing responsible waste management throughout the event.

In her welcome address, MACCII President Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol emphasized that sustainability is more than just waste collection—it is a shared responsibility that encompasses environmental, economic, and social dimensions. She urged businesses and individuals to integrate sustainability into their daily operations and lead by example.

The event saw strong participation from recyclers and environmental service providers, including Dolomatrix, SRCI Manufacturing, Inc., E.C. Soliman Septic Tank Disposal, and Jayvee Villasis Junkshop. Their contributions were instrumental in converting waste into valuable resources, reinforcing the importance of a circular economy.

MACCII members actively took part in the initiative, demonstrating that businesses have a crucial role to play in driving sustainable practices within communities.

This milestone event underscores the impact of collective action in fostering a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
