The Province of Bulacan is looking forward to the establishment of a “Malasakit Center” at the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) as promised by Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go during the 2018 Midyear Commencement Exercises at Valencia Hall of Bulacan State University in this city on Wednesday.
SAP Go served as the Commencement Speaker for 480 graduating students from the different colleges from the said university stated that after Cebu, Tacloban, Iloilo, Palawan, Bacolod, Dumaguete and at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), the next Malasakit Center will be in this province.
“The center is a one-stop shop comprised of different agencies which can provide help to families of patients who wish to settle medical expenses such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR), and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO),” SAP Go said.
“The soon to be rise Malasakit Center here in Bulacan will be provided with 5 to 10 million funds initially so patients can avail of free medicines and reiterated the President’s order to make all resources of government available to help the poor,” Go noted.
Go added that anytime we will launch the Malasakit Center in Bulacan as soon as possible maybe next month.
SAP Go, also mentioned in his message about the tertiary education or the free education of all college students under the Duterte administration.
“I believed that you are the first batch benefitted the free education in state university like Bulacan State University and by next year, the miscellaneous fee will be also free,” Go said.
On her part, Dr. Cecilia S. Gascon, BulSU president, introduced the commencement speaker as a pambansang photo bomber of President Rodrigo R. Duterte during the campaign period for the presidency as he was always beside the president.
“SAP Go is the all-around man and at the go-to-guy by President Duterte. He was also the selfie king and his photographed gives us clear glimpsed of important national and international event which had effect for bringing the Filipino people closer to the President and the President closer to the people,” Gascon said.
Aside from SAP Go and Gascon, also witnessed the commencement exercises were Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado and his son Bulacan 1st District Cong. Jose Antonio Sy- Alvarado, Buhay Partylist Rep. Michael Fermin, Retired General Francisco Villaroman, Board of Director, Clark Development Corporation and Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Professor Prospero E. De Vera III and Dr. Romeo Santos, President, BulSU Alumni Association.
