MANILA, Philippines – First-term Senator Rodante Marcoleta has filed his first 10 priority measures for the 20th Congress, focusing on lowering electricity costs, empowering local communities, supporting agriculture, and protecting the rights of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and the urban poor.
Among the senator’s initial legislative proposals is a measure aimed at reducing power rates through reforms in the energy sector. Other bills seek to bolster barangay development, provide greater support to Filipino farmers, and institutionalize stronger safeguards for OFWs and informal settlers.

Marcoleta, a former deputy speaker in the House of Representatives and longtime advocate of pro-poor policies, said his Senate agenda is anchored on practical solutions to everyday struggles faced by Filipinos.
His proposals come as the 20th Congress begins to shape its legislative priorities in response to calls for inclusive growth and basic sector welfare.
