Marcos keynotes PAF 76th anniversary in Clark

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has attended the 76th founding anniversary of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) at Clark Air Base on Monday, July 3, 2023, with the theme “PAF@76: Accelerating with Excellence Towards A More Capable, Credible and Sustainable Force.”

Marcos led the presentation of various awards to outstanding PAF officers, members and units.

Earlier, Marcos witnessed the PAF’s capability demonstration at Colonel Ernesto Rabina Air Base in Capas, Tarlac, where the PAF fleet were assembled to show the country’s air capability.

Officially established as a separate branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on July 1, 1947 through Executive Order No. 94, series of 1947, PAF traces its origins as early as 1917 during World War I.

With Marcos includes National Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr., House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, PAF officers, and Pampanga officials.

Marcos had proceeded to inspect the on-going construction of housing units under the administration’s “Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pamilyang Pilipino Housing” (4PH) Project in the City of  San Fernando along with Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.
