Mariveles, Bataan – A total of 844 Day Care Parents in the towns of upper and lower Mariveles received orientation on the TUPAD and EduChild Programs yesterday, April 15.
The event was held in Barangay Alasasin and Barangay Maligaya and was led by Mayor AJ Concepcion, together with 3rd District of Bataan Representative Gila Garcia, Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jett Nisay, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan and Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
The Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program is a government initiative that aims to provide emergency employment and livelihood opportunities to those who are in dire need. The EduChild Program, on the other hand, is a special project that focuses on the education and development of young children.
During the orientation, the attendees were briefed on the objectives and benefits of the said programs. Mayor Concepcion emphasized that the local government’s priority is to ensure the welfare of its constituents, especially during these challenging times.
“We are grateful for the support of our partners in the government, who are always ready to help us achieve our goals. These programs will greatly benefit our Day Care Parents, who are among the most vulnerable sectors in our community,” Mayor Concepcion said.
Representative Garcia, for her part, expressed her full support for the initiatives and vowed to continue working closely with the local government to provide more assistance to the people of Mariveles.
Meanwhile, Governor Joet and Vice Governor Cris commended the local officials for their efforts in promoting the welfare of the people, particularly those who are in need.
“This is a great example of how the government and the community can work together to address the needs of our constituents. We commend the local officials for their dedication and commitment in serving their people,” Governor Joet said.
The event ended with the distribution of certificates to the attendees, signifying their participation in the orientation. The local government assured the beneficiaries that they will be closely monitored and assisted throughout the duration of the programs.
