A 15-minute fire hit a food stall inside Marquee Mall’s Metro Grocery on Tuesday morning but no one was hurt.
The fire started at 10:15am inside the Metro Supermarket. Marquee Mall personnel immediately assisted customers and employees out of the building for their safety.
The Bureau of Fire Protection declared the fire out at 10:35am. Mall visitors and employees have immediately returned to the building after it was declared safe by BFP authorities.
In a statement issued by the Marquee Mall management, it said: “Rest assured that Marquee Mall is not affected and the safety of our shoppers is our utmost concern as we resume normal mall operations.”
The management did not say which food stall started the fire or how it started.
