The 16-storey $60-million Marriott Hotel Clark will open its doors on September 14.
Charley Magabo, Marriott Hotel director for sales and marketing, said the five star hotel will have 260 guest rooms and a ballroom with a seating capacity for 400 persons. It will also offer four other meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 30 to 80 persons.
An open dining interactive-type restaurant with a capacity of 170 persons will also be launched where more live stations will be offered.
Magabo said the signature restaurant on the top 16th floor will have a Korean-Japanese restaurant called “Smokey Moto,” with a commanding view of the championship Mimosa Golf Course.
The restaurant will have an airconditioned area, as well as al fresco dining with two private teppanyaki rooms also overlooking the Mimosa Golf Course, Magabo said. Kids will also have their facilities at the second floor of the Marriott Hotel, Magabo said. On the second level, the pool will also be located near the spa.
Marriott is currently the biggest hotel chain in the world with more than 6,000 hotels and more than 30 different brands, Magabo said.
“So you can just imagine the type of service quality and standards we put in,” Magabo said.
Marriott Hotel Clark is owned by Widus International Leisure Inc.
Magabo said reservations for group conferences and meetings are already accepted while individual bookings in Marriott’s web site will be open by the middle of this month.
The Marriott at Clark will feature the usual Marriott facilities, such as the Goji Kitchen and Bar, Great Room, Pool Bar, Executive Lounge and the Ballroom and Meeting Places.
