Mayor Lazatin showcases Angeles City’s monthly Kadiwa market to ARTA chief

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. personally toured Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Secretary and Director General Atty. Ernesto Perez around the city’s monthly Kadiwa ng Pangulo market, proudly introducing local farmers and merchants along with their homegrown products — a strong testament to the city’s commitment to sustainable livelihood and accessible food sources.

A flagship program under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the Kadiwa ng Pangulo is conducted monthly in Angeles City through the initiative of Mayor Lazatin. It aims to promote and strengthen locally produced goods while empowering small-scale farmers and community-based entrepreneurs.

All participating vendors hail from Angeles City, including members of the Aeta community from Barangay Sapangbato, who offered a fresh harvest of fruits and vegetables.

The monthly Kadiwa program is supervised by Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, in coordination with the Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) led by Irish Bonus-Llego.

To recall, the city government’s Kadiwa ni Kita at Ani program — composed of 10 stalls — generated total sales of ₱100,925 in April 2025.
