Mayor Lazatin welcomes ARTA’s Grand Ease of Doing Business Fair in Angeles City

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. welcomed the conduct of the Grand Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Fair in Angeles City on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Spearheaded by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) headed by Secretary and Director General Atty. Ernesto Perez, in partnership with the Angeles City Government, the event was held in celebration of EODB Month and aimed to bring essential frontline services closer to the people.

Present during the opening ceremony were the city’s department heads and chiefs of offices from the local government, showing full support for the fair’s mission to promote accessible and citizen-friendly government transactions.

Eleven national government agencies participated in the Angeles City Grand EODB Fair: the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) – Regional Field Office Central Luzon, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Social Security System (SSS).

Each agency offered a variety of services such as ID enrollment, registration, membership verification, issuance of certificates, and access to digital platforms—geared toward making public service delivery more streamlined and efficient.

The fair serves as the government’s continuing commitment under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Bagong Pilipinas campaign to improve bureaucracy and uphold red tape-free, people-centered governance.

To recall, the administration of Mayor Lazatin has also sustained Angeles City’s legacy of quality service, earning the ISO 9001:2015 certification for excellence in quality management, which reaffirms the city’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and world-class public service—rooted in a tradition that began in 2002 under former Mayor Carmelo ‘Tarzan’ Lazatin.
