SAMAL, Bataan — Mayor Aida Macalinao and a Taiwanese investor on Friday led the groundbreaking of a state-of-the-art livestock farm in a 33-hectare property in Barangay Imelda of this fast-rising 4th-class municipality.
John Lu and his son Johnson, owners of Green Era Bio-Tech Corp. joined Mayor Macalinao in a simple rites to start the construction of the first fully air-conditioned and environment friendly piggery farm using the latest technology in the said industry.
Macalinao told the press that this P300 million investment is just one of the major steps making the municipality of Samal as the “food basket of Bataan.”
“With the full support of Governor Abet Garcia, Cong. Joet Garcia and Congresswoman Geraldine Roman in all of our programs and projects, I believe this will be a big boost to the economic development of our town,” Macalinao stressed.
Despite the pandemic, the municipal government under Macalinao’s leadership enjoys the confidence of traders and investors for being “business-friendly and transparent in all financial matters.”
