CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – At least 27 Chinese nationals were arrested and eight Filipino women rescued in a series of operations against suspected illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hubs inside Clark Freeport Zone on Tuesday, August 5, police said.
The raids, led by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) in coordination with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), targeted two locations—both operating within the Freeport.
Authorities first raided Asian Greenville Resort along Jose Abad Santos Avenue, where 24 Chinese nationals—22 men and 2 women—were apprehended. At the same site, eight Filipino women believed to be victims of trafficking were rescued.

A follow-up operation at Clark Hills Village, also inside Clark Freeport, resulted in the arrest of three additional Chinese nationals.
Recovered from the sites were computers, mobile phones, and digital equipment allegedly used in online scamming and other cybercrimes.
All Chinese nationals are now in BI custody, facing deportation proceedings and possible criminal charges for cybercrime, human trafficking, and immigration violations.
Authorities say the bust reveals a growing network of foreign-operated illegal POGOs within Clark, long touted as a secure economic hub. The investigation is ongoing to uncover potential links to larger international scam syndicates.
