Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab funds reconditioning of SF villages patrol vehicles

Mayoralty aspirant Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led the turnover of patrol vehicles of various barangays in the City of San Fernando which were reconditioned thru her personal funding.

Pineda-Cayabyab said the 21 barangay patrols were among the vehicle units donated by the provincial government of Pampanga to barangay councils IN 2014 in an effort to improve mobility of village officials in responding to various emergencies.

Due to limited budget, many barangays cannot afford the upkeep of their vehicles, which are left in almost unserviceable condition.

Pineda-Cayabyab, whose political platforms include improvement of health services, said the vehicles play a crucial part in the health program.

Aside from general itineraries, the vehicles are used as mobile service for the barangay peace-keeping force, and often as ambulance for health emergencies.

Some of the vehicles only required electrical reconfiguration but some needed major repairs, which the barangays cannot afford to cover.
