SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Mayoral aspirant Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab outlined her vision to transform San Fernando into a business-friendly city during a consultation with the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce (PAMCHAM) and members of the socio-civic business community.
Pineda-Cayabyab, the daughter of Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and philanthropist Rodolfo “Tatay Bong” Pineda, emphasized her priorities, which include improving health care, enhancing education, addressing flooding issues, and eradicating red tape and corruption.
The aspirant stated that creating a favorable business climate is integral to the city’s development. “San Fernando has the potential to become a hub for economic growth in Pampanga,” she said, vowing to address key challenges stalling the city’s progress.
Her parents, both influential figures in the province, joined her during the meeting, underscoring the family’s commitment to public service. Vice Governor Pineda, known for her grassroots programs, and Tatay Bong, respected for his philanthropic initiatives, expressed their full support for her candidacy.
PAMCHAM representatives welcomed the dialogue, highlighting the importance of strong public-private partnerships. They urged the Pineda family to prioritize sustainable policies that could stimulate investments and generate jobs for local residents.
As San Fernando remains a critical economic center in the province, the consultation marked a significant step in addressing the city’s long-term development goals, while underscoring Pineda-Cayabyab’s pledge to work closely with various stakeholders.
