CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — Staying true to her lifelong advocacy of compassion and public service, Nanay Partylist Representative Florabel Yatco celebrated her birthday by giving back to the community through an outreach event titled “Regalong Saya at Pagmamahal,” held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando on Wednesday, October 8.
More than 1,000 undernourished children from various Pampanga towns gathered for a day filled with joy, learning, and care. Each child received a school bag containing biscuits, milk, noodles, rubber slippers, a water tumbler, fortified powdered milk, five kilograms of rice, and dental kits.
“This celebration is not about me — it’s about giving back to the people who inspire me every day,” said Congresswoman Yatco in her message of gratitude and hope.
The event was graced by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Board Members Christian Halili, Fritzie David-Dizon, and Lucky Labung, Dr. Kaye Naguit, Special Assistant to the Vice Governor Angie Blanco, Pampanga Health Officer Dr. Dax Tidula, former Board Member Atty. Jun Canlas, and former Mayor and now Nanay Partylist Chairperson Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab.
Program highlights included a nutrition lecture by the Provincial Health Office, a McDonald’s Kiddie Party with games and prizes, and a “Lugaw Time” feeding activity where children enjoyed bowls of nutritious porridge specially prepared for them.
Families also benefited from free medical and dental check-ups, anti-pneumonia vaccinations, grocery packs, and cash assistance.
Meanwhile, 50 expectant mothers received vitamins, food packs, rice, financial aid, and free prenatal checkups with ultrasound services.
The outreach further extended to 29 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who were given food packs, cash assistance, and brand-new wheelchairs to support their daily needs.
“When there is compassion, there is hope and when there is a Nanay in Congress, there is care for every child,” said Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, expressing her gratitude to Congresswoman Yatco on behalf of all Kabalens.
The event reflected the true essence of Nanay Partylist — malasakit, kalinga, at pagmamahal — compassion, care, and love for every Filipino family.
